WHAT IS AOEA? ⦿ Four-Year Program ⦿ Smaller Learning Community (cohort) ⦿ STEM Focus: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math ⦿ Affiliated with the National Academy Foundation (NAF) www.naf.org ◼ national network of education, business, and community leaders who work together to ensure high school students are college, career, and future ready ◼ 2016-17: nearly 97,000 students attended 67 NAF academies across 38 states, including DC and the US Virgin Islands. In 2016, NAF academies reported 96% of seniors graduated with 92% of graduates planned to go to college ⦿ Only Offered at JMRHS in Cabarrus County
