ABOUT US “DHARA” (Development of Health & hygiene And Rural Action) is a non-profit developmental organization working since 1989 and acting for rural mass of Thar desert with an unique approach of resource development and creating community assets” . Dhara initiated it’s intervention in many sectors but the core areas are Health, Education, Child Protection, Livelihood, Sanitation etc. Dhara is committed to work with the underprivileged society and working for their upliftment. Dhara Sansthan is working mostly in Western Rajasthan (Barmer and Jaisalmer Dist.) as well as in Gujrat.

  3. OUR MISSION & VISION Our Vision on: We envision for betterment of the poorest of the poor communities through addressing their most impactful needs. Our Mission: on: To serve individuals and families in the poorest communities through improvement of health, hygiene, the support of education, the alleviation of poverty and protection of the local natural resources.

  4. OUR OBJECTIVES AND WORK AIMS To improve health outcome by increasing uptake of health services at the facilities or during  outreach sessions. To promote best sanitation and hygienic practices in the communities through demonstration &  provision of sanitary facilities. To facilitate sustainable approach for conservation of natural resources resulting in provision of  safe drinking water, improved agriculture practices and protection of local environment. To increase accessibility to education center and promote quality of education at the center.  To improve the socio-economical status of the poorest community through convergence of  indigenous as well as new technology. To build professional skill of adolescents/youths through personality development & teaching  soft-skills and linking them with concerned individuals and institutions. To bring the deprived section of the society into mainstream of development through  mobilization of various available scopes or resources. To provide relief services during disaster and emergency situation.  To collaborate with local stakeholders to increase focus on prominent local developmental  issues and provide technical assistance in planning process.

  14. OUR PRESENT ACTIVITIES  Chi Child ld Li Line 1098: Through child line 1098 service we are currently reaching and providing emergency support to those children who are in the need of care and protection in Barmer dist.

  15. OUR PRESENT ACTIVITIES  Emergen Emergency Am Ambula bulance: Through our emergency ambulance service we are providing emergency medical transportation to the needy people of remote rural areas of Barmer Dist.

  16. OUR PRESENT ACTIVITIES  Proj ojec ect Nandg Nandghar har: We are providing quality of educational and nutritional support to the children belonging to the age group of 0-6 years through 25 modern ICDS centre(Nandghars).

  21. OUR MONITORING AND EVALUATION  Ong ngoi oing ng Moni Monitorin ring: We always focus on ongoing monitoring through frequent visit of the program location as well as direct contact to the beneficiaries through visit, interviews, FGDs etc.
