APPLICATIONS - AIRPORT LIGHTS - HELIPORT LIGHTS - OBSTRUCTION LIGHTS OPERATION SAFETY TIME Rev. 1.0 Pag 8
SAFETY Safety in the extensive meaning, represents all the activities aimed to improve the security and the safety , in all components of the airport operations. The Advanced Solar Solution systems contribute to increase the safety of the airports and heliports, in case of low visibility for bad weather conditions or in case of emergency landing in the night time. Rev. 1.0 Pag 9
OPERATION TIME In the recent years it has been a significant growth of the air traffic not only on the major airports, but also in secondary and touristic airports; in many cases there has been the need to extend the operating time also during the night. The systems developed by Advanced Solar Solution allow landing and departure also during night time, with significant increase of the number of daily movements. Rev. 1.0 Pag 10
AIRPORT LIGHTS Complete range of lights for the needs of all airport sections (runway, taxiways, apron). Customers • Minor commercial airports; • Airport for general aviation; • Private airports; • Flying school; • Airfields. Rev. 1.0 Pag 11
HELIPORT LIGHTS Complete range of lights for the needs of all heliport sections Customers • Heliport; • Helipads; • Helicopter rescue pitch; • Temporary helipads. Rev. 1.0 Pag 12
OBSTRUCTION LIGHTS Obstacle lights to be located on buildings, bridges, cranes, etc. and signaling lights to mark forbidden area on the airport surface (for maintenance, damaged aircraft, accidents, etc.) Customers • Commercial airports; • General aviation airports; • Heliports; • Municipality; • Major companies. Rev. 1.0 Pag 13
KEY POINTS • Ease of installation (no site preparation); • Low life cycle cost; • Wide range of solution; • Wireless monitoring and control; • Ease of relocation; • High availability; • Very low emission (close to zero). Rev. 1.0 Pag 14
KEY POINTS Ease of installation The systems developed by Advanced Solar Solution does not require any cabling, since are powered by solar panels and are completely wireless. High availability and low maintenance cost All lamps included in the system are of high quality LED technology, and have an operation life of 10 years, with minimal scheduled maintenance. Flexibility The SCB light is available in a wide range of configurations, to fit all requirements of airports and heliports. Rev. 1.0 Pag 15
KEY POINTS Ease of relocation The SCB can be easily relocated since it does not require any cabling or site preparation. It is fixed on the ground with four anchoring bolts.. Remote monitoring and control All system produced by Advanced Solar Solution are fully controlled and monitored by remote. Rev. 1.0 Pag 16
SILAS SYSTEM SILAS (Solar Illumination Aeronautical System) satisfies the • requirement to provide small airports or heliports with a low cost system to improve the safety of the flight in bad weather conditions or to extend the operational hours also during night time. SILAS is an integrated system very easy to install, since does not • require any site preparation of dedicated infrastructures, and can be configured to satisfy the various operational requirements of airports and heliports The SILAS system is based on the use of the SCB (Smart Controlled • Biofly) lights, which is self-powered since based on the use of photovoltaic panels. Rev. 1.0 Pag 17
SILAS SYSTEM Components • Basic components of the SILAS system are: SCB light ( Smart Controlled Biofly ), in the various configurations • (TEL, REL, RTIL, RTE) Solar powered wind-sock • Remote control unit, in two versions: • Standard switching-on Unit (UAS) • Monitoring and Control Unit (UMC) • The SILAS can be provided with an integrated video surveillance • system, in case of the requirement to acquire and transmit the videos of airport or heliport areas. Also the video surveillance unit is autonomous and solar powered. Rev. 1.0 Pag 18
