+ Romanian U.S. Alumni Association (RAS) NGO established in 2013 by Romanian alumni of U.S. government sponsored programs (Fulbright, • H. Humphrey, IVLP, GMF) MISSION : forged in our shared international experience we seek to build upon, mobilize and make use of our member’s expertise and leadership in order to affect positive change in Romania. OBJECTIVES: - promote and champion the mutuality of the Romanian-US relationship; - promote the rule of law, democratic governance & human rights and contribute to the democratic process of the Romanian society ; - empower young people to play an active role in addressing the issues affecting their communities & defending their rights; - secure the active participation of alumni in community activities.

+ RAS’s responsibilities in the AnM project Workstream 1 - Contribute to the production of the report, gathering evidence from literature (Ioana M.) & fieldwork – (Cristi D & members) - Recruit young people with fewer opportunities, provide internship, mentoring & volunteering opportunities with RAS – as part of the project- and other organizations & institutions (all RAS members at their respective workplaces ) - Contribute to the development of a Risk Register tool
+ RAS’s responsibilities in the AnM project (2) Workstream 2 - Recruitment of at least 20 young people in the delivery & evaluation of the project (High School Union, Student Associations etc.) - Design of a face-to-face training, educational and skills development course for the legal literacy of youth organisations, young people and relevant stakeholders in the area of gender-based abuse of young marginalised people - Participate in the delivery of face to face training - Pilot the face-to- face training with young people
+ RAS’s responsibilities in the AnM project (3) Workstream 3 - Set up a project website- monthly updates - Identify and contribute to the development of database of young people - Contribute to the final project report /book integrating the learning& results of the project - Contribute & disseminate e-newsletters (with stories in Romanian)- Eurochild & Childpact netoworks - Participate in the final conference in London
+ RAS’s responsibilities in the AnM project (4) Workstream 4 - Ongoing Evaluation & reporting) - Steering Group - Integrate learning into the book - Participate in the Project Steering Group to review progress and the project management tools - Sustainability
+ Relevance of the AnM project at the national level The AnM project’s is in line with the main points of intervention in the National Youth Strategy 2015-2016 : - Social inclusion - Education both formal and vocational - Youth participation in the decision making processes in their communities • set up of consultation groups at the local level • development of civic & political education curriculum in public schools including law education based on the active involvement of NGOs , including youth-led associations - volunteering & employment
