Strategic Goals 1. Northwest ISD will design dynamic learning experiences to ensure that all students are future-ready learners. 2. Northwest ISD will recruit, develop, retain, and recognize an exceptional, highly motivated staff to optimize student engagement and learning. 3. Northwest ISD will communicate in a timely, open manner and engage parents and community members in positive partnership opportunities in our schools. 4. 2017-2018 DIP Highlights Student Successes • Increased number of K-2 students reading on grade level to 85% • Increased SPED enrollment in career pathways by more than 10% • Decreased discipline referrals and received positive feedback on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) • Involved more than 80% of secondary students in a curricular activity
2017-2018 DIP Highlights Operational Successes • Increased knowledge, quality, and recognition of Guest Educators • Hosted successful NISD Career fair • Managed timely and successful building projects – new schools and renovations/additions • Generated $250,000 through 3-5 year advertising contracts
