  4. Documents you will receive 1. Result Slip 7. DPP Brochure (for 4NA) 2. Form N 8. ITE Traineeship Brochures 9. 3 pieces of Fact Sheets 3. Decision Form (for 4NA) 10. Report Books 4. Leaving Certificate 5. ITE Admission Booklet 6. ECG Booklet for Parents

  5. 1. Result Slip • Check your personal particulars on your result slip • If there are any errors, inform your Form Teacher immediately

  6. 2. Form N 1. The Form N contains codes of ITE courses you are eligible for 2. Check codes in ITE course booklet 3. Refer to the ITE website for enrolment details 4. Check whether you qualify for DPP

  7. 3. Decision Form • Students to indicate post-secondary pathway decision made and the form to be acknowledged by parent/guardian • Please return the form to the General Office by Friday, 23 December 2016 by noon

  8. 4. Decision Form - Retention in 4NA • Only for students who meet the criteria for retention at Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) • Please return the form to the General Office by Friday, 23 December 2016, by noon

  10. Pathway 1 Secondary 5N(A) for O-Level 2017

  11. Pathway 1 – Sec 5N(A) for GCE O-Level 2017 (a) ELMAB3 - aggregate score of 19 points or less; and (b) At least a Grade 5 for all subjects used in the computation of ELMAB3. (Subjects graded ‘U’ will not be considered)

  13. Pathway 2 National Institute of Technical Education Certificate (NITEC)

  14. To Do: (a) Apply for NITEC via ITE website by 22 Dec 5pm [for both N(A) and N(T)] (b) Attend an interview session on 27 Dec or 28 Dec (c) Accept/reject/appeal offer by 3 Jan 2017

  15. To Note: • Limited places in each ITE NITEC course • Not participating in the Main Application Phase (by 22 Dec) will reduce your chance of gaining a place • Exercise the full 12 choices • Include less popular options to maximise your chance of a successful posting

  16. Pathway 3 Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

  17. Pathway 3 – DPP - Sec 4N(A) students who obtain an ELMAB3 aggregate of 19 points or less have the option of enrolling in the DPP at ITE. - Students accepted into the DPP will enrol directly into Higher NITEC (Higher National ITE Certificate) courses at ITE, and are subsequently guaranteed a place in a polytechnic diploma course mapped to their Higher NITEC, subject to them meeting the Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements.

To Do: (a) Apply for DPP via ITE website by 22 Dec, 5pm (b) Check posting results on 27 Dec (c) Accept/reject/appeal by 29 Dec, 3pm (d) If you do not accept the offer, you will report to NV on 3 Jan 2017 for Sec 5. * Being eligible to apply for the DPP does not guarantee a successful placement in a DPP Higher NITEC course.

  19. Pathway 4 Polytechnic Foundation Programme ( PFP)

  20. Pathway 4 – PFP • ELMAB3 aggregate of 11 points or less and meet subject- specific Minimum Entry Requirements • 1-year foundation programme offering a practice-oriented curriculum taught by polytechnic lecturers • PFP students are given provisional places in diploma programmes, subject to them passing all modules

To Do: (a) Report to NV on 3 Jan for Sec 5 (b) Apply for PFP after GCE O-Level result release (tentative 11 Jan 2017) (c) Students who have accepted their PFP offers will withdraw from Sec 5 by 27 Jan 2017 * Being eligible to apply for the PFP does not guarantee a successful placement in a PFP course.

  22. Can’t decide on DPP or PFP? Option 1 - Progress to Sec 5 - Apply for both PFP and DPP upon release of GCE O-Level results in Jan 2017 - If you are offered a place in both PFP and DPP, you may only accept one offer Option 2 - Apply for DPP in Dec 2016 - If you are eligible for PFP after release of GCE O-Level results, you will receive a PFP eligibility form - If you accept the PFP offer, you will withdraw from DPP and apply for a refund of DPP enrolment fees
