AIDA in brief  Established in 2011 within Foreign Ministry;  Purpose: coordinate assistance efforts of Azerbaijan for foreign countries;  Principles: cooperation, efficiency, transparency and equality;  Activity areas: humanitarian aid and assistance for development for foreign countries;  Form of aid: financial aid, support for projects, expertise.

He Health th Campaign to fight avoidable blindness in Africa  Alliance to Fight Avoidable Blindness (AFAB) Campaign launched in 2008, AIDA joined in 2012  Free of charge eye surgery and medical examination;  Azerbaijani ophthalmologists also participated.  Beneficiaries: nearly 50000, including children, women, girls, the old and etc.  Patients now able to work and sustain their families;  Local ophthalmologists got training;  Diversity of actors: Islamic Development Bank (IDB), ministries of health, local hospitals and specialized NGOs from the region

Infrastru frastructure ture Support for water supply infrastructure  Heydar Aliyev Water Supply Scheme in Pakistan  About 40.000 people gained access to drinkable water Special facilities for disabled persons  Computer laboratory for disabled students in the University of Jordan  Equipment and appliances required for the rehabilitation process donated to the center for the disabled persons in Pakistan

  8. Governance vernance E-governance project in Afghanistan  In close cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme, establishment of e-governance system in Afghanistan Sharing experience of ASAN Service  Strengthening public service delivery in developing countries

Collaborati boration on wi with IDB B and d other er partner rtners  Capacity building programme for ophthalmologist from OIC member countries (in progress)  To build partnership beyond heath-care sector, such as in oil and gas, ICT, etc.  To carry out joint projects via involving other parterns
