He Health th Campaign to fight avoidable blindness in Africa Alliance to Fight Avoidable Blindness (AFAB) Campaign launched in 2008, AIDA joined in 2012 Free of charge eye surgery and medical examination; Azerbaijani ophthalmologists also participated. Beneficiaries: nearly 50000, including children, women, girls, the old and etc. Patients now able to work and sustain their families; Local ophthalmologists got training; Diversity of actors: Islamic Development Bank (IDB), ministries of health, local hospitals and specialized NGOs from the region
