Why i y is this p s proj oject b being b built? t? • 2009 Sanitary Sewer Master Plan identified existing sanitary sewer infrastructure within the Golden Triangle as being undersized. This project will intercept three existing sanitary main lines and direct this flow into a new 15” pipe. • This plan took into account current and future zoning and land use to determine the needs of the neighborhood and aided in determining the scope of this project • This project is identified as a capital improvement project as it serves the neighborhood, rather than an individual development or property. • Specific property owner needs on current and future developments should be discussed with Development Services per City of Denver standards.
Delaware St Street W t Work ork • Anticipated start – January/February 2019, with construction prework ahead of this effort • Construction limits extend from W. 13 th Ave to W. 12 th Ave • Traffic will be handled per the approved traffic control permit. All northbound lanes will be closed and traffic detoured. Parking meters on West side will be bagged and parking lane will be converted into southbound traffic. Potential for Southbound traffic to be shut down for a two week period of time during tunneling activities is currently being evaluated. • Work will be phased to limit lengths of active construction and provide residential/business access • Relocation of existing utilities will occur prior to construction • Construction on Delaware St is anticipated to last between 2 – 4 months (once utilities are cleared)
12 th Avenue W W. W. 1 Work • Work anticipated to start concurrently with tunneling efforts at intersection of Delaware St and 12 th Ave. Anticipating a February 2019 start date • Construction limits extend from Delaware St. to Bannock St. • Traffic will be handled per the approved traffic control permit. All eastbound lanes will be closed and traffic detoured. Parking lane on North side of 12 th Ave. and Westbound traffic will remain open. Bike lane will be detoured to 11 th Ave • Work will be phased to limit lengths of active construction and provide residential/business access • Relocation of existing utilities will occur prior to construction • Construction on 12 th Ave is anticipated to last between 3 – 5 months (once utilities are cleared) • Construction on Glencoe St is anticipated to last between 4 – 6 months
