Running Start is a program that allows 11 th and 12 th grade students to take college courses at community and technical colleges. Running Start students have the unique opportunity to finish their high school diploma while earning college credit. **Important: Full-time Running Start students must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 college credits. ** Students are able to attend any local community college.
Attend the info meeting March 2nd during the Parent University event at Interlake High School. Sign up for the placement testing or submit one of the alternative options for English or math placement. Attend a Running Start orientation meeting at Bellevue College. Registration is online. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a094daaab2baa8- running7 You will also be required to submit a full schedule request at Interlake in case you decide to not pursue Running Start classes.
English Options for 12 th graders You have these classes to choose from: IB/AP Language and Literature HL 2: you should sign up for this class if you took HL 1 this year. IB Literature 2/AP Lit: you should sign up for this class if you took HL 1 this year.

Online Registration Step 1: Navigate to StudentVUE and Click on the Course Request button. Step 2: Click on the button “Click here” to select or change course requests. Step 3: When selecting a year-long course, be sure to select both semesters of the course. Students should select a total of seven credits and two to five credits worth of alternates. Step 4: Select course alternates in order of preference. The system will attempt to place the alternates in the order selected. Questions: your counselor will meet with you individually to confirm requests.
Registration Paperwork: Due Dates Current 9 th grade students will meet with the counselors March 11th and 12th in English Classes Current 10 th grade students will meet with the counselors March 18th and 19th th in English Classes Current 11 th grade students will meet with the counselors during the weeks of March 23-April 3rd. You will receive an appointment reminder from Ms. Lin (counseling secretary) on the day of your meeting. Appointment times will also be on the window of the counseling center.
Yellow form Fill out and return to your counselor between March 23-April 3th. You will have an Individual Junior Blitz appointment with your counselor. Bring form to your meeting.

Fall Sports Forms *Students participating in Fall Sports must have sports forms and fees turned in by mid-August. Football is due end of May. Summer office hours begin August 1 st from 9:00-3:00.
