Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.   5. 11/11/2015 Remember the Love & Compassion our God Extends to His People What are God’s ways? How is God to be described? Psalm 103:7-12, NIV He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. God has revealed himself in the course of history. God made himself known in a special and personal way to Moses Psalm 103:7, NIV He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: Exodus 34:4-6, NIV So Moses chiseled out two stone tablets like the first ones and went up Mount Sinai early in the morning, as the Lord had commanded him; and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands. Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord. One repeated phrase throughout Psalm 103: “those w ho FEAR HIM” There is a clear reminder that GOD’S LOVE & COMPASSION is upon those who FEAR Him! Psalm 103:11, 13, 17 NIV For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— Remember the Love & Compassion our God Extends to His People What is our relation to God? Who are we exactly? 7

  8. 11/11/2015 Psalm 103:13-18, NIV As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. As w e look at our relation w ith God and our place in this world, w e can know these truths … We are God’s CHILDREN; we have a loving Father Psalm 103:13, NIV As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; As w e look at our relation w ith God and our place in this world, w e can know these truths … We are CREATED; we are not the center of the universe Psalm 103:14, NIV for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. 8

  9. 11/11/2015 As w e look at our relation w ith God and our place in this world, w e can know these truths … We are MORTAL; we are not going to live forever Psalm 103:15-16, NIV The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. As w e look at our relation w ith God and our place in this world, w e can know these truths … We are SPECIAL & LOVED; we can experience God’s incredible eternal love if we place our lives completely over to him Psalm 103:17-18, NIV But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. Remember that God is the Sovereign King Over All This is not up for debate; it is not a matter of public opinion. No matter what is going on in the world, no matter how people are responding to him, God remains the KING on his throne! Psalm 103:19, NIV The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. 9

  10. 11/11/2015 The question is not…does God deserve your praise? The question is…how will you respond to this GREAT, AMAZING, SPECTACULAR GOD???!!! Psalm 103:20-22, NIV Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the Lord, my soul. 10
