King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Located in the Yukon Tintina Gold Belt
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon The King Solomon Dome Properties • On ridges interpreted to be a potential source of the estimated 20 million ounce gold rich placer deposits of the Klondike • Structurally controlled fracture-faulted veins within Tanana Terrane Strata comprising schists • All properties exhibit high grade gold mineralisation with values up to 51.2 g/t Au • All properties have road access with KSD only 30 minutes drive from Dawson City.
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon King Solomon Dome Property Exploration • Kestrels exploration activities have advanced all four properties • Soil and rock geochemical results have confirmed the presence of the largest gold anomaly in the Klondike
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property Soil Geochemistry • Large and significant gold geochemical anomaly defined ( 1.6km x 1km ) • Soil values up to 4 g/t Au (4000ppb) • Corresponding strong silver, arsenic, lead anomalies in and around the main gold zones
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property Rock Geochemistry • Kestrels 2011 Trenching program returned 23 rocks samples greater than 2 g/t Au (up to 17.1 g/t Au) • Strike length of gold bearing quartz vein system over 1.7 km long (at least 0.4 km wide ) • New >2 g/t Au zone found in the Dominion Creek headwaters giving possible offset strike length of 2.6 km • Several values greater than 50 g/t Silver • Previous bulk sample grades of up to 4 g/t Au (2276 kg sample) have been recorded in the Crosscutting quartz vein (Trench 7-C) past That yielded up to 9.4 g/t Au
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property 2011 Geophysics • Kestrels 2011 IP Geophysical survey identified a large IP anomaly over a distance of 1.2 km • The main IP Chargeability anomaly is open to the north and south and to depth and is on trend with the structurally controlled NNW mineralized zone • A series of similar readings were observed in the deeper readings adjacent to this large chargeable unit and suggested that a large mineralized body may widen at depth • We knew from favourable trench results testing a previously documented IP survey that IP chargeability is a good exploration tool • Hydrothermal fluids exploit crustal weaknesses in metamorphic rocks replacing magnetite with gold associated pyrite
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property Large Geophysical IP Anomaly widening with depth (pink color)
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property large IP Anomaly and coincident large Gold Soil anomaly
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property 2012 Geophysics • Kestrels 2012 Voltera 3DIP survey identified two deep chargeability anomalies totalling over 1 km in width • The survey was specifically designed to test at depths ranging from 130 m to 500 m • At least 3 other anomalies were found at varying depths • There is a strong correlation with the surface soil and rock geochemistry values especially gold, silver, lead and arsenic
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon KSD Property 2012 Geophysics
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Geological Model • The 2012 deeper geophysical survey has detected what could be a large flat lying litho-tectonic host • Inference that an ophiolitic slab and basal suture zone originally occurred proximal to the productive placer creeks • This part of the Klondike Schist assemblage is thought to be more mafic and favourably reactive to hydrothermal gold bearing fluids • Orogenic gold deposits of this type can be mined deep (>800 m) and the structural orientation of D4 fracture veins suggests this may be the case
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Deep system (Mesozonal) for Rich Klondike Gold Source at KSD?
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon A Sulphide gold enriched rich ‘host’ is now a highly plausible possibility based on the results of the 2012 Voltera 3DIP survey indicating large flat lying chargeability anomalies to at least 350 metres and open in all directions!
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Magnetics Looking NE – strong NW regional trend (extending to other properties)
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Dominion Property Soil Geochemistry • 2011 Soil sampling program discovers new 400m long gold anomaly • 5.45 g/t and 2.38 g/t rock samples within anomalous soil region
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Gold Run Property Soil Geochemistry • 2011 Soil sampling program significantly increases anomalous gold area • New zones discovered in especially in central area of property
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Gold Run Property Rock and Soil Geochemistry (Doron Zone) • New soil anomalies found • Previous rock sampling of trenches includes assays of 2.42 g/t Au over 18.2 m including 9.06 g/t Au over 1.8 m • Trenching and diamond drilling planned
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Gulf Property Soil and Rock Geochemistry • Four (of 11) rock samples return greater than 1 g/t Au in 2011 • Grades of up to 51.2 g/t Au • Gold anomalies over 1200m
King Solomon Dome Project - Yukon Conclusion: Orogenic Gold Deposits – The next big find? • Blue Sky exploration target - Orogenic Gold Deposits can be very large (up to 50 M oz Au) • In the Klondike, a very large amount of placer gold production (20 M oz Au) is derived from as little as 400km 2 Klondike basement schist implying a spectacular concentration of orogenic gold in the Klondike area yet to be discovered! • Unlike all other placer gold rush areas around the world, such as the California Motherlode district, the source of the Klondike Gold has to date never been found. Significantly, the King Solomon Dome, a central and prominent topographic high surrounded on all sides by rich placer gold streams still being mined today, has never been diamond drilled! • The latest deep Voltera IP geophysical survey has significantly improved the geological model at KSD and created more diamond drill targets that will test for a large flat lying gold enriched host thought to be related to steeper fracture related high grade gold and silver mineralization from depth to surface. Mineralization remains open in all directions!
