THE YOUNG ELEPHANT CONTEST The 1st contest devoted to the Young Event professionals (< 28 y.old) will take place during the EuBEA Festival, the International Festival of Events and Live Communication, Seville 23-24 October 2014. The aim of the contest is to help the Young talented Event professionals emerging from the crowd. How? The contest will be based on a brief, provided by a charity/ no profit organization that will call to action the Young Event professionals to create a project (an event) having the goal to help the charity/organization to properly communicate their message(s). The Young Event professionals will be challenged to find new creative event formats for improving the fundraising activities of the designated Charity/no profit Organization. In order to create a viable and usable project, Charity/no Profit Organization must have a broad European awareness and a fairly easy to communicate theme. Participation for the Young Creatives will be free of charge and open to 1 couple of creatives/producers per agency. The participation to the contest will be open to young professionals from Agencies that are members of national Event Associations only. The pre-selection jury (composed by the members of the Association Partners) will select online one project per country. The selected projects will grant the finalist couples a complimentary Delegate pass to attend the Festival in Seville and to present their works to the Corporate Jury that will determine the european winner. The winning project will be Awarded the first prize at the EuBEA Ceremony (Friday 24 th October). WHAT IS THE EUBEA FESTIVAL The European Best Event Festival is the initiative that recognizes and promotes excellence in events and live communication across Europe. The European Best Event Awards has been created in 2006 to foster and advance the importance of events in the marketing plans of any organization; in nine years EuBEA has helped participating agencies from 25 different European countries in finding new inspiration and new ideas for their events. In 2014, EuBEA will establish a new landmark for the Event Industry, by transforming a traditional Event Award into a truly Live Communication experience, with the introduction of live presentations of the shortlisted events to the Corporate Jury and a newly conceived interactive way of showcasing their work to the entire event community. The EuBEA Awards will offer the occasion not only to celebrate but also to exchange ideas and create business opportunities with top professionals from all over Europe. Over two days in October (23rd and 24th) the whole European Event Industry will come together in Seville at the EuBEA Festival – the First International Festival of Events and Live Communication – to learn from the best practices and to celebrate the work changing and innovating the Live communications landscape. pag. 2
The Jury Panel, which includes some of the best and brightest personalities among the top corporate clients with EMEA responsibilities, will grant all winning events an indisputable international quality acknowledgement.
