Year in Review January – July Planning & implement cuts and budget reductions – ● Keep focus on educational program as priority ● Cuts to administration, athletics, classified first ● Planning for restructuring – redesigning services ● Community donors provide Scholarship Fund Partnership with Unions for contract changes ● New contracts include salary and health care changes saving millions of dollars in the forecast

Year in Review July – December July ● Reductions and contract changes result in stable finances for five years ● Board begins to discuss rebuilding educational services with restraint ● Board decides not to seek new levy August – October ● Discussion of new positions in the forecast to address class size issues and gifted & reading intervention needs ● Board approves forecast with restoration of 25 teaching positions over the next two FY while maintaining a positive cash balance for five years
