2013 Bayten Buitenverwachting Sauvignon Blanc • Appellation: Constantia • Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc • Vineyard: East-facing slopes, dry farmed, and • Vines: 3 to 16 years • Soil: Tukulu and Clovelly • Aging: 3 months on the lees • Tasting notes: This crisp, zesty Sauvignon Blanc displays classic aromas and flavors of green fig, gooseberry and lime. Pepper and herbal notes are supported by elegant hints of mineral and chalk. • Ratings: WS: 90, #63 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2014

2013 De Wetshof Bon Vallon Chardonnay • Appellation: Robertson • Blend: 100% Chardonnay • Vineyards: Computerized irrigation system • Soils: Gravely soils extremely rich in lime • Vine age: 11 - 18 years • Tasting notes: Unwooded Chardonnay exuding fresh green apple, peach and citrus aromas with zingy, mineral flavors lingering on the palate • Ratings: WS: 90
2013 Mulderbosch Chenin Blanc Steen Op Hout • Appellation: Western Cape • Blend: 100% Chenin Blanc • Vineyards: Mostly dry-farmed bush vines • Aging: 10% new French oak, 90% stainless steel for eight months • Maturation: 8 months on the lees, 5-7 years from date of vintage • Tasting notes: Mango, papaya and ripe grapefruit come to the fore, whilst subtle oak character lends depth to the aromatic profile • Ratings: 2012 Vintage Platter’s SA Wines
2007 Spier Pinotage • Appellation: Coastal • Blend: 100% Pinotage • Vineyards: north-easterly slopes, drip irrigation • Soils: Hutton, Clovelly and Oakleaf • Vine age: 7 years • Maturation: 40% in French and American barrels for 6-8 months • Tasting notes: Dark plum in color, the wine shows cherry, coconut and spice on the nose, with a hint of fresh leather. A soft, creamy palate shows juicy cherry, hints of tobacco and American oak- derived flavors, with a dry and lingering finish • Ratings: Veritas Awards – Double Gold Winner
2011 The Grape Grinder “The Grinder” Pinotage • Appellation: Paarl • Blend: 100% Pinotage • Soil: Sandy loam topsoil on weathered rock • Maturation: 9 months in toasted oak barrels • Tasting notes: Cracked black peppercorns, roasted coffee, black plum, wild strawberries and plenty of spicy bittersweet chocolate underscored by savory/leathery notes. The palate offers juicy fruit, smoked spice and you guessed it - espresso and peppery flavors. Approachable and quite substantial with balanced acidity and a savory, smoky finish • Ratings: WE: 87
2011 Rudi Schultz Syrah • Appellation: Stellenbosch • Blend: 100% Syrah • Vineyards: S ingle vineyard in the Bottelary Hills ward • Soils: coarse sand on gravel with a small amount of wet clay • Aging: 18 months in 225 liter French oak barrels, 15% new • Tasting notes: Beautiful aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and pepper that follow through on the lengthy palate. Well-integrated tannins and seductive hints of mocha, earth, and spice add to the complexity • Ratings: WS: 92, 90+ points since 2002 debut
2001 Graham Beck “The Ridge” Syrah • Appellation: Robertson • Blend: 100% Syrah • Vineyards: The Ridge Vineyard – single vineyard • Soils: 1 foot layer of red Karoo earth on hard unweathered shale • Vine age: 22 years • Aging: 14 months, 75% American, 25% French oak, 70% new • Tasting notes: Deep, rich plummy color. A bouquet that's intensely warm and smoky in character, with distinctive hints of spice. The fruit emerges beautifully and is in superb symmetry with the wood on the palate • Ratings: ½ Platter’s SA Wines
2006 Glen Carlou Cabernet Sauvignon • Appellation: Paarl • Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon • Aging: 14 months in 60% French oak, 50% new, 50% second fill and 40% American oak (second fill) • Tasting notes: Aromas of nutmeg, cloves and aniseed are backed up with vanilla spice. On the palate mulberry, raspberry and herbal notes enter with a crisp acidity. The finish is intense with fruit driven character and a solid tannin backbone for maturation • Ratings: WE: 90
2011 Glenelly “The Glass Collection” Cabernet Sauvignon • Appellation: Simonsberg-Stellenbosch • Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon • Soils: Bright red clay, mixed with shale and decomposing granite • Aging: 12 months in oak, clarified with natural egg whites • Tasting notes: very complex nose with flavors of Cassis, blackcurrant, cherry, a touch of spices and chocolate. The wine has a good tannin structure, perfect balance and length, with layers of flavors which have followed through from the nose to the palate • Ratings: WS: 88, WA: 88
2012 Kanonkop Kadette Cape Blend • Appellation: Simonsberg-Stellenbosch • Blend: 54% Pinotage, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc • Fermentation: shallow open concrete fermenters • Vine age: 5 to 30 years • Soil: Red decomposed granite and Hutton, with a high clay content • Aging: 14 months in 225 liter French oak • Tasting notes: Bright and juicy, with an anise thread weaving through the blackberry and raspberry fruit. Judicious toast lines the black tea-accented finish, with good acidity running throughout • Ratings: WS: 89
2011 Rust en Vrede Estate Blend • Appellation: Stellenbosch • Blend: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Syrah, 9% Merlot • Aging: 18 months in 85% French, 15% American oak. Further 12 months in bottle before release • Tasting notes: Dark fruit and roasted spices are backed up by a rich dark chocolate line, with subtle vanilla aromas. The dark fruit and spicy licorice aromas follow through beautifully from the nose. This full bodied wine has great structure and length, with a seamlessly integrated mid-palate and a long, dry finish • Ratings: WS: 93
2008 Klein Constantia Vin de Constance • Appellation: Constantia • Blend: Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains • Production: extremely limited, only produced in exceptional years • Aging: 500 liter French and Hungarian oak barrels for 4.5 years, 60% new • Bottling: bottled after 5 years, hand-labeled • Tasting notes: A rich, dark golden honey colour with intense perfumed nose of complex spice, cloves and vanilla. Developed secondary flavours of orange marmalade and dark chocolate. An intriguing and ever- evolving wine. The bold, sweet palate is perfectly balanced by tight acidity which results in a long-lingering honeyed finish • Ratings: WA: 95, Decanter: 95
