Charter Scope Define lightweight mechanism for remoting user interfaces across an IP network where: 1. The user interface is represented in XML. 2. Synchronization involves XML DOM events and XML DOM mutation and updates. 3. The architecture is extensible for future use with other user interface definitions. 4. NOT to define XML representation of user interface objects 5. NOT to define mechanism to establish sessions 6. NOT to define mechansim for device coordination.
Charter Mission 1. Mechanisms for synchonizing distributed XML DON objects by propagating DOM events, updates, and mutations. 2. A set of parameters that need to be negotiated by a service discovery and session setup mechanism in order to start the user interface session. 3. A framework for remoting user interfaces represented in XML via DOM synchronization.
