Wheeler NWR Road Descriptions and Access Control Points Arrowhead Landing Road South from Old Alabama 20 to ALR Gate/I-65 Gate. South from Alabama 67 to end of road. Gates at Alabama 67, and Ben Bean Place Road Poole Road control access. All roads on or adjacent to Beaverdam Peninsula south of I-565; west of Pryor Road; east of Limestone Bay; and, north of Beaverdam Creek. Beaverdam Peninsula Road Gates south of Iron Bridge road and west of Pryor Road near Observation Tower control access. North from Jolly B. Road looping around Blackwell Swamp back to Blackwell Run junction of Jolly Bottom Road and Rockhouse Road. Gate at Blackwell Outlet Structure controls access onto Rockhouse Road and Jolly B Road. East and North from the end of Cain Road to Truck Trail East. Gates at Cain Landing Road Cain Road and at both ends of Truck Trail East control access. Crabtree Slough Road South from Alabama 67 to Crabtree Slough. All roads on Flint Creek Island south of Alabama 67; west of Flint Creek; and, east of Crabtree Slough; except Visitor Center Road.
