Bioethicist gathers informa/on and ini/al Ethics Case understanding by talking with the requester and Consulta/on other involved par/es and reviewing the chart. (ECC) Bioethicist may also talk with leaders of medical, clinical, and organiza/onal departments.

  8. How is an ethics consult conducted? 2.) ECCT can complete the consult by edi/ng/ accep/ng the Assessment, and may make a Ethics Case recommenda/on. Bioethicist enters consult into Consulta/on (ECC) chart and follows up involved par/es.

  9. How is an ethics consult conducted? 3.) ECCT can otherwise complete the consult by Ethics Case mee/ng in person with involved par/es and Consulta/on upda/ng the Assessment, and may make a (ECC) recommenda/on.

  10. How is an ethics consult conducted? 4.) ECCT can refer consult to the Lake Ethics CommiKee. The CommiKee can meet with Ethics Case involved par/es, update the ECCT’s Assessment, Consulta/on and may make a recommenda/on. (ECC) 5.) Ethics recommenda/ons are advisory
