MRS. ARAT Hi, I am Mrs. Arat I have been teaching in FUSD for twenty years. First at Maple, South Tamarind, Shadow Hills, Oak Park and now Randall Pepper. The last eight years have been in TK. Before that Kindergarten and 1 st grade. I have a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Indiana University, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Fullerton and a Transitional Kindergarten Teaching Certificate from the University of La Verne. I am married with three grown sons. I became a grandmother in April when my granddaughter Ayah was born.

TK GOALS To provide a developmentally appropriate and hands-on program in which students learn social and academic skills to help them succeed in kindergarten and beyond. ➢ Develop knowledge in the alphabet, sounds, etc. ➢ Recognize numbers and be able to count sets ➢ Retell stories, share details, etc.

GRADING POLICY Students in TK are graded on a developmental scale from 1-4. As the year progresses the scores should increase towards a 4. Progress Reports and Report Cards will be mailed home 4 times a year and will show the students current developmental level for each graded area (math, Language Arts, Social Emotional Skills).
