Entry into Year 12 - September 2017 A Grade 6 or better in Mathematics A Grade 6 or better in English Language or Literature 4 other GCSE (or equivalent subjects) at Grade B or better There are also specific entry requirements for many A Level subjects We have 150 places available for current Year 11 students, from any school Registration is on GCSE Results Day – 24 th August

The working day…… 0835-0850: Form Time All Y12 students are expected to be in the Sixth Form Centre until 1500 at the earliest 0850-0950: Lesson 1 The majority of the working week 0950-1050: Lesson 2 will be in timetabled A level study 1050-1110: Break There will also be a number of hours devoted to enrichment 1110-1210: Lesson 3 activities 1210-1310: Lesson 4 Remaining time will be for private study – and students will be 1310-1400: Lunch expected to use the time properly 1400-1500: Lesson 5 ‘There are no shortcuts to success ’ 1500-1600: Lesson 6

Core Curriculum (Aspire): All Linear A Levels Three A Level Subjects – four can be selected subject to agreement Students selecting Physics must also select Mathematics Students selecting Further Mathematics MUST select FOUR subjects Core Mathematics is a one Year AS course, to be taken with 3 A Levels, and extremely useful for students wishing to maintain maths skills but not taking Maths A Level
