  5. College Application Process AHS You’ll need ✓ An e-mail address ✓ An OEN number ✓ $95 (use a credit card) ✓ A computer with internet access ✓ An instruction sheet (available in Student Services)

  6. College Application Process AHS When you apply: ✓ Create and RECORD a username and password. ✓ Have your credit card ready. ✓ Know your OEN number. ✓ Know your address and postal code. ✓ Know which programs you want to apply to. ✓ Lunch Time in Student Services for help!

College Application Process AHS Record your username and password You will need to sign into you OCAS Account regularly to: ✓ Check that your personal data is accurate. ✓ Change your personal data if necessary. ✓ Check your grades. ✓ Change the programs you applied for. ✓ Check the status of your application. ✓ Accept your offer of admission!

  8. College Application Process AHS Important Dates: OCAS Early October 2016: The Application process starts. February 1, 2017: Applications received at OCAS by this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges. This is the Earliest Offer Date as well. May 1, 2017: Applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission to their chosen program through ontariocolleges.ca June 15, 2017: Earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees.

  12. University Application Process AHS What type of university applicant are you? OUAC 101 - Applicants must be ALL requirements: - You have not attended college or university - You have never been out of school for more than seven consecutive months at any point - You have six 4U/M courses, including pre-requisites for your program. You are provided with a PIN number for the electronic application. Adult H.S. will automatically submit your marks electronically on your behalf.

  13. University Application Process AHS What type of university applicant are you? OUAC 105 – You have attended college or university or you have been out of school for more than 7 months in a row at some point. Program pre-requisites, a letter of intent, and copies of previous college or university transcripts must be part of the application. If the student is from outside Canada, additional qualifications in English may be required. All materials must be submitted as hard copies by the student. Contact each university to find out what is required for application. Meet with your AHS counsellor.

Don’t share it with You’ll need: anyone else! ✓ PIN - 101 (personal ID number) and a School Number (provided by your guidance counsellor) ✓ Student Number ✓ $150 (101), $155 (105) – 3 Program Choices ✓ New $50 charge for changing a choice! ✓ An instruction sheet (available in Student Services)

University Application Process AHS Important dates: OUAC ✓ November 2016: The application process begins ✓ January 11, 2017: Latest date to submit completed on-line applications and fees to the OUAC. This is the application deadline! ✓ February 3, 2017: Recommended last day to make changes to your application to be eligible for early admission offers. ✓ May 26, 2017: Latest date by which you can expect a response from an Ontario university. ✓ June 1, 2017: Earliest date by which Ontario universities may require a response to an offer from an Ontario secondary school student.
