This also gives access to the latest Microsoft applications so that pupils can complete their school work on their home computer or tablet.

Literacy intervention groups take place on a morning during tutor time and on a Tuesday in the LRC. Some pupils may have Access Arrangements in future exams. • Extra time • Reader/reader pens • Use of a laptop Pupils should be encouraged to make full use of any additional support offered to them. Please see Mrs Loughlin if you wish to discuss this.
Pastoral support At Ian Ramsey we want to promote an atmosphere of trust and safety, within a calm and purposeful learning environment. Together we want our pupils to have the highest standards of behaviour so they can grow and learn to become resilient, respectful young people who are proud to attend our school.

Uniform expectations “Together to learn, to grow, to serve”
Non-uniform items These items are NOT part of our uniform policy and are not to be worn. Pupils may wear one small pair of studs in the earlobes and a wristwatch.
Make-up and Mobile phones • Pupils are not allowed to wear make-up in years 7 and 8. • Pencilled in eyebrows, tattooed eyebrows, false eyelashes, acrylic nails, gel nails, nail varnish, contouring, bronzer, blusher etc. are NOT acceptable and pupils will required to remove them. • Mobile phones/Smart watches and Bluetooth headphones are not permitted in the Academy.
