The Roots of Bluegrass An Outreach Tour to Twelve Adult Residential Communities Across Southeastern Minnesota, featuring early-American music like Appalachian ballads, Old-time, gospel and more — the harmonies that gave birth to Bluegrass! March 2016 A high-quality arts initiative specifically created for independent adult residential communities located in small towns with populations between 1,000 and 20,000.
Inner- city “Touring” Relationship-building in three low-income neighborhoods: West Saint Paul, North Minneapolis, and Cedar-Riverside 2015-2016 The Rose Ensemble’s national touring concerts will appear in each community, along with a free educational outreach program. (North Minneapolis initiative through the Northside Partner project of the Basilica of Saint Mary).

A Major Grant The Katherine B. Andersen Fund of the Saint Paul Foundation …has awarded The Rose Ensemble a matching grant of $50,000 in support of the organization’s 20 th Performance Season All gifts made between now and December 31, 2015 will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $50,000.
