Welcome 2016-2017 Parents Teachers Association
Background • La Fontaine Academy was started by a group of parents who were looking to create an excellent school that championed language learning as a path for child development, academic excellence and community • This is why parents, and the PTA, are very much involved in the running of the school • This has allowed the school to be much more than a school in less than 3 years. It is now a strong community – a ‘ village ’ as Dr C puts it
What is the PTA La Fontaine Academy’s Parent Teacher Association, or PTA is a registered charity (159492) run entirely by volunteers. • Work with parents and school to identify fundraising priorities • Raise money to support all students attending LFA • Run a variety of cultural and community events throughout the school year that bring parents together, promote good communication between parents and staff and enhance the wellbeing our children http://www.ptalafontaine.org.uk/
