(2)The following appointed by the intermediate unit of which the district is a member: (i) One employee of the intermediate unit (ii) One representative of a charter school or cyber charter school in which students residing in the school district are enrolled (iii) One special education advocate (iv) One superintendent, school director or business official of an adjoining school district (v) Two residents of the school district
Academic Performance ◦ Curriculum, professional learning, student attendance, increasing retention, Cougar Academy Special Education ◦ Mandates and IDEA compliance, MTSS, IEP preparation, identifying students with special needs Administration and Governance ◦ Public access to District documents, training of School Board Members, reorganization of central office staff, establish ethics policies
Operations ◦ Recommendations for business and human resources offices, including contract administration database, contract evaluation process, multi-year transportation improvement plan, district- wide communication plan, hiring and retaining quality staff Financial Management ◦ Multi-year capital planning and budget process, comprehensive fund balance, facility utilization plan
Food Service ◦ Evaluate food service contract, POS terminal during meal service, improve oversight of management company Revenue ◦ Access revenues, improve current and delinquent real estate tax collection, grant writing Workforce ◦ TBD, will include changes to salary and healthcare
Professional Learning for All Initiative: To develop a plan to provide professional learning for all Parent Engagement Initiative: To identify areas of operational best practices that should be included in a parent engagement plan
