Looking forward: the Careers Strategy
The Government’s Careers Strategy & Statutory Guidance 1. All schools meeting the Gatsby benchmarks by the end of 2020 2. All schools and colleges to have access to an Enterprise Adviser by the end of 2020 3. Every young person to have at least 1 encounter a year by 2020 4. All schools with a named Careers Leader by September 2018 and 500 trained Careers Leader thereafter 5. The CEC taking a broader role across all the Gatsby Benchmarks from September 2018 starting with Compass and a ’hub’ pilot in 20 areas 6. Career activities piloted in primary schools starting in 2018, best practice in STEM and SEND being explored and disseminated
