This will ensure that the fairest possible result is given. Generally if more than 2 Judges have you first or last, you probably are. The process can be done with 7 Judges therefore losing 1 top and bottom score or ultimately with 5 where every score will count. 9

  20. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: BODYBUILDING (MEN’S AND WOMEN’S) Bodybuilding athletes will be judged as an overall package, considering the factors: shape, symmetry, balance, muscularity, and conditioning. Neither one of these factors is more important than the other. Exceptional physiques with developed, full and shapely muscle bellies while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing physique. ** DISTENTION of ABDOMINALS, GYNECOMASTIA and other associated flaws will be penalised. Round 2 Muscularity Round 1 Symmetry Round 3 Comparisons Size, condition of the Basic outline, Study of all factors Physique, vascularity proportion at great depth and separation of the between muscles, to reach the correct Muscles. symmetry from left decision to right and top to bottom. 19

  21. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: BODYBUILDING Full muscle bellies • Aesthetics • Balance • Clean Lines • Symmetry • Muscularity • Taper Full Muscle Bellies • Condition • Detail Striations Tight midsection 20

  22. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: BODYBUILDING COMPARISONS Examine the totality of the body in each pose. This front semi relaxed pose demonstrates: symmetry, balance and proportion. Balance of upper and lower body is paramount. Look at the similarities between the physiques. Dimensionally they are very similar but aesthetically they are quite different. Recognising these differences quickly is the mark of a good judge. 21

  23. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: BODYBUILDING COMPARISONS Judging is the sum total of the pose. A judge must look at each muscle to determine the winner of the pose. As you see in the picture both athletes have great conditioning and muscle size. The difference is found in the projection of the pose of the athlete on the left. He also has a < waist and joints which make his muscle “pop” when flexed. It’s the illusion of size and symmetry for this athlete. 22

  24. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: BODYBUILDING COMPARISON Examine the totality of the body in each pose. This front double bicep pose is your opportunity to assess symmetry, balance, conditioning and muscularity. Balance of upper and lower body is paramount. Look at the bicep size compare it to the calf and neck as a guide to the athletes balance. 23

  25. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: CLASSIC BODYBUILDING The height to weight ratio that is applied means that the athletes are of a similar size which puts the emphasis on the “classic” physique that is balanced, conditioned, and aesthetic, while maintaining proportion without being overly muscular. Besides the ratio the classic class is judged exactly the same as Men’s Bodybuilding. 24

  26. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: MEN’S FITNESS AND PHYSIQUE These categories differ from Men Model because athletes display a more muscular physique with more definition but structural elegance and body proportions still play a major role. 25

  27. CRITERIA WABBA INTERNATIONAL CLASS CRITERIA: MEN’S FITNESS AND PHYSIQUE 1. AESTHETICS 10% of the total Score. This aspect considers general beauty of the body, face and care in the details of the grooming (skin, hair). 2. PHYSIQUE 50% of the total Score. Elegance and structural symmetry, lack of structural defects. Proportions between upper and lower body and display of a V-Shaped physique. 3. MUSCULARITY 30% Athletes must display low bodyfat, proportion in the development of the muscle groups but an excessive definition is not requisite. 4. POISE 10% of the total Score. Elegance during the T-walk and masculine attitude without posing. Posing suite Knee length beach shorts, not tight fitting, of any colour and shape. 26
