  6. What is a SMART community? • Society is becoming increasingly digital, connected, and urbanized. Recognizing this trend, some communities apply innovative "Smart City" solutions to identify and solve basic urban issues. • Smart Cities (or Smart Communities more broadly) ARE CONNECTED places full of wireless devices and networks of sensors, cameras, applications, and data centers supporting every aspect of community life. Let’s make that happen again! • Create a Downtown Business Group that works together to create promotions that attracts people to come downtown. Ie. Pancake breakfast for rodeo, Christmas Campaign • Add some benches and paint the sidewalks • GIANT checkers by the post office • Hopscotch for KIDS young and not so young
