Khan Academy Overview
Khan Academy Website Visit khanacademy.org and choose “Parents, start here.”
Create an Account Sign-up with your email or logging in through Google or Facebook.
“Getting Started” Dashboard Once logged in, connect to your student’s Khan Academy account.
Connecting Your Student’s Account Create a student account OR search for one already created. (recommended)
Creating a Student Account Enter your child’s birthday and email. (if applicable)
Creating a Student Account Create a username and password for your student’s account.
Creating a Student Account Once a student account is created, you can: • Add another child. • Go to the Parent Homepage. • Have your child log in.
Adding a Parent Connection Students must go to their Learner Dashboard and select “Coaches.”
Adding a Parent Connection Parents can be added under the “Add a Coach” section using an email.
Parent Dashboard Quickly view a student’s progress from the dashboard.
Student Performance Get a brief overview of recent performance.
Detailed Student Performance View performance progress and detailed notes on skill development, lessons mastered, and number of questions completed.
Parent Checklist Finish the parent checklist by viewing tips, learn lessons for yourself, and having your student log in.
