  17. Special Education (SELPA) Governor loosened allowable Special Ed Timelines for assessment plan § development and access to copies of records upon request. Timelines for Special Education assessment, IEPs, Annuals and Triennials are not included in this waiver, as these are Federal IDEA timelines. Guidance from US Department of Education, Office of Special § Education Programs, and Office for Civil Rights released on March 17 th . This advice must be the first consideration as it relates to services, timelines for IEPs, assessments, and other IDEA-related issues. SELPA continues to provide support, technical assistance, and § communication, and is scheduling LEA meetings via Zoom or phone. Compliance activities continue, so working to support teams to figure out next steps and resources. Participating in state and federal responses and guidance activities, and § sharing resources as frequently as possible or appropriate.
