What Is Tuition Assistance? • Tuition Assistance is provided through Futures In Education (FIE), a diocesan office • Award decisions are based on financial need, not academic merit, and are made by FIE • Tuition Assistance is awarded up to $3,200 • Families must pay a minimum of 25% of tuition and remain current in their tuition payments • Tuition Assistance recipients are expected to have good attendance and behavior, and to do their best academically 3/26/2020

Who Is Eligible? • Families with one or more students in K-8 who demonstrate financial need based on: – Total 2019 income – Household size (adults + children) – Submission Date of Application & Documents • Nursery (Pre-3) students are not eligible • UPK (Pre-K) is funded by the NYC Department of Education – No Assistance needed 3/26/2020

When Is the Adjusted Application Deadline? • All families, whether they receive an award this year, or they are applying for the first time, must apply by May 31* – Families must apply each year, including families who receive an award this year – *Deadline adjusted due to COVID-19 • All families should apply as soon as possible, before funding is exhausted 3/26/2020

  7. Academy Registration • Students must be registered at ICCA for 2020- 2021 before families Submit their application 3/26/2020

  8. How Do I Apply? (TJF/CSF) • If your child receives a Teddy J. Forstmann / Children’s Scholarship Fund award this year, the Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF) will email you directly with application instructions for your 2020-2021 Teddy J. Forstmann award – Teddy J. Forstmann applications opened in February 3/26/2020

How Do I Apply? • Gather the documents that apply to you (find the complete list online); they may include: – 2019 Form 1040 Tax Return – Unemployment / Worker’s Compensation (2019 or 2020) – Public Assistance Cash / TANF / SNAP (“Food Stamps”) – Social Security – 2019 SSA-1099 for SSA / SSI / Disability – Child Support / Alimony – Adoption Subsidy / Foster Care • Return to the previous (“Scholarships”) web page, scroll to the bottom, and click “Apply Now” 3/26/2020

How Do I Apply? • Complete the questions; selected questions include: – List all K-12 schools where you will pay tuition next year – Do you have a Co-Applicant? • A Co-Applicant is a household member who contributes to expenses; it may be your spouse or another person – How much of the child’s tuition can you and/or the Co ‐ Applicant pay? – Annual tuition support required from non-custodial parent – Does the child have an IEP or 504 plan? 3/26/2020

Final Steps • Submit application (child must be registered) • Pay $35 application fee via credit or debit card • Submit required supporting documents – Scan them or Photograph them with your cell phone • After submitting, check for email from FACTS and respond promptly to any questions 3/26/2020

Financial Aid • Financial Aid is for families who are unable to provide all the documents required for FACTS • Award decisions are based on financial need and are made by the Board of Directors of ICCA • Families must pay an amount determined by the Board and remain current in their payments • Financial Aid recipients are expected to have good attendance and behavior, and to do their best academically • Call Mrs. Leston (718-728-1969) to leave your name 3/26/2020
