International Partners and Affiliates
Aims of A-A International Project • Provide access to knowledge and skills of health professionals specialising in arrhythmia care • Provide support and education to patients, carers and medical professionals • Improve quality of life for all those affected by cardiac arrhythmias • Share and exchange ideas and best practices
International Partners and Affiliates • A-A in the UK is a coalition of charities, patient groups, patients, carers, medical groups and allied professionals. These groups work together under the A-A umbrella to promote timely and effective diagnosis & treatment of arrhythmias. • A-A International is a platform for unifying best practices in arrhythmia services, and advocating for equal patient access to high quality services in countries around the world.

Overview A-A International Partners A-A Portugal – Bate Bate Coracao Is working very hard on raising awareness and has won the 2009 Health Award A-A Sweden – Arythmi Alliansen Is in the process of organising patient meetings - 180 patients attended of which 80 had an ICD implant
Overview A-A International Partners A-A China A-A China was established in 2009 in collaboration with cardiologist from the Peoples Hospital Beijing. Translations have been completed and added the education material to the web. A-A China established the Teleheart Rhythm Monitor Centre and introduced A-A in the SCD and Syncope Prevention Meeting, May 2010. A-A Japan Arrhythmia Alliance Japan celebrated World Heart Rhythm Week 2009 with the launch of their new website. Their partnership to A-A through The Health Policy Institute of Japan has provided a platform for advocacy (Commission on Citizens and Health) and leadership in providing awareness and education on arrhythmias.
NEW A-A International Partners A-A Italy – ANA Aritmie Italy has completed the registration process and will have translations ready by December 2010. The website will be promoted with the emphasis on GPs A-A Argentina – PRONETAC The Rotary Club in Buenos Aires is supporting A-A Argentina who now have their own offices and are translating our materials. Trudie will attend the first anniversary-cocktail party

World Heart Rhythm Week • Organised by A-A in partnership with the International Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Society • Supporters, organisations and individuals around the globe focus attention on heart rhythm disorders • Participating countries make WHRW an international awareness event • A WHRW Toolkit is available to guide countries participating in this exciting opportunity • WHRW was used as an opportunity to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest during the FIFA World Cup

World Heart Rhythm Week 2010 Highlights • Organised by A-A in partnership with the International Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Society • WHRW was used as an opportunity to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest during the FIFA World Cup PACE South Africa - A-A S Africa : Organised a new world record supported by Lucas Radebe Bate Bate Coracao – A-A Portugal : „Beat Beat of your heart - feel the rhythm‟ was promoted during WHRW and was a big success with more then 5000 people
World Heart Rhythm Week 2010 Overview Pronetac – A-A Argentina : • Representatives from Pronetac with the Minister of Public Health from Buenos Aires. • Press coverage – 24 articles, 9 radio interviews, 5 TV Interviews and organised CPR courses • Endorsement of famous national footballer recommending medical control of „your pulse‟. Alleanza Nazionale contre le aritmie (ANA) – A-A Italy : Launched a successful media campaign with full media coverage across Italy.
