Overview – The Gulf Coast Economic Corridor Act was signed into law Friday, June 2, 2017 – Next steps for the Triumph Board • Two additional board members must be appointed by the Speaker of the House and Senate President • Triumph Board must incorporate • A public qualified depository must be selected • Selection criteria / proposal submittal process must be developed

Funding • 40% of first $300M will be equally allocated to 8 NWF counties – 5% or $15M spent in Escambia County • 60% of first $300M will be competitive • 32% of remaining $1.2 B will be equally allocated to 8 NWF counties over 15 years – 4% or $48M spent in Escambia County over 15 years • 68% of remaining $1.2B will be competitive • Triumph Gulf Coast, Inc. will have administrative costs
Requirements of Act • "Each board of county commissioners shall solicit proposed projects and programs from other elected local governing boards within the county and shall provide Triumph Gulf Coast, Inc., with a list of proposed projects and programs located within its county." • "The submitted list of proposed projects and programs must include projects and programs submitted by other elected local governing boards and projects and programs recommended by the board of county commissioners"
Requirements cont... • "Awards may not be used to finance 100 percent of any project or program.” • All projects must be approved by Triumph Gulf Coast, Inc. • One project can be included on multiple county lists – projects that are on multiple lists (regional projects) will be given more weight • BCC nominated projects will receive a higher prioritization
