Upon completing the requirements on the previous slide: A Certified Degree Audit will be done by Student Services to verify that you have completed all requirements for program completion and licensure Your Licensing Advisor, Deana Simpkins will email you instructions on how to apply for your first license to your IWU email It is wise to apply for your license as soon as you complete the program, meet the requirements, and have obtained the license instructions, even if you do not anticipate teaching in the near future so as to avoid any possible additional requirements that could be adopted by the state. However, please do not apply for licensure until you receive notice from Deana Simpkins that the degree audit is complete.

Your First License Your first license will be an Initial Practitioner’s (two year) license with an internship requirement If you do not fulfill the internship requirement during this two year license term, you can apply to the state for the renewal of that license for two additional two year terms
