Irish Pony Club Dressage and Combined Training Kate Harvey Chairman of the D and CT committee
Review of 2018 • National Dressage Day, Spruce Lodge • Area Qualifiers • Festival Championships, Barnadown • Combined Training at the RDS • UK Dressage Championships, Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire • Novice CT introduced 2018
Rule changes for 2019 • Eligibility for CT will be based on the horse/pony and rider combination (rather than the horse/pony alone), as in the Rules for IPC Eventing. This will allow younger siblings to ride the same horse/pony at a lower level the following year. • Time penalties for SJ will be one time penalty per 4 seconds over the Time Allowed (rather than one time penalty per second), as in the Rules for IPC Eventing.
Rule Changes for 2019 • U10 and U12 CT will be included in Area Qualifiers (rather than there being no requirement for qualification). • The four highest placed combinations will qualify for the Festival Championships as for Junior, Intermediate, Open and Novice CT competitions. • The other rules for CT at Area Qualifiers will also apply to U10 and U12 combinations. The updated D and CT Rules, with the changes highlighted, are available on the IPC website.
