  2. Introduction ◦ Our class, 5/6 Clark and Cato would like to present to you our new continent. It is called Toutoro. ◦ After the 4 weeks learning from home during Term 2, this project was designed for us to work and collaborate together again back at school, while having a lot of creative fun. ◦ Each country nominated a member to join the United Nations. To come together and make decisions that affected us all, for example coming up with the name of our continent – Toutoro. ◦ Our continent is made up of 12 countries. Each country had some geographical features that could not be moved and often went across the borders, for example oceans, seas, mountain ranges, rainforests, deserts, rivers and lakes. We then had to negotiate with our neighbouring countries to name them. ◦ We then created our own unique country. We thought about climate, and its position to the Equator. We could choose from many options, for example creating the history, its national fauna, and designing its currency. ◦ We would now like to show you how this continent comes together, just like we did as a class.

  3. Charlia Our country is called Charlia because the founders’ names are Charlotte and Alia. Our national animal is the freshwater turtle because Charlia is landlocked and it doesn’t have any access to salt water. In Charlia’s history, South Alia Charlia was invaded Charlotte by Alfrendo Callum Smith and his gang, they travelled for weeks through Totouro to get to Charlia.

  4. Aqua-solios Our Country is called Aqua-Solios, which is Latin for water and sun and our people are called Aqains. We have a festival on New Year’s Jonte Day called the festival of lanterns which Cully celebrates the last year.

  5. Inminia Inminia has five cities and towns two capital cities and a sapphire goldmine! The Prime Minister of Lewis Inminia is George juminius spinner jr Scarlett because he was the first ever man to see an alien and ufo!

  6. Sammies Sanctuary This is Sammies Sanctuary named after one of the politicians of the country. We have a plant called the Popping Polly Wolly, which is a tree that Sam money grows on. Evan

  7. The Piggle Republic We are the Piggle Republic. We have the second biggest ice desert in the world we also have massive penguins that are 1.5 meters tall! And our national food is Daniel pancakes best served with delicious maple Quincy syrup! Lucas

  8. Analoe Our country, Analoe, is unique because we have a centoe which is an underground cavern with fresh water at the base and a whole at the top. Analoe is the name of our country because it Anna is a mix of our names Anna and Chloe, we are Chloe partners, so we thought it was appropriate.

  9. Blueberry pie (BBP) This is our country we named it Blueberry Pie. The capital city is called Andalle. We have two towns and three cities. The inhabitants of Blueberry Pie are the pie people. Isaac R Our name in our language is ttita kuch Isaac F en.

  10. Nigra This is our country Nigra, it is unique because we have a special plant called Fraxinus nigra which is where we get our name. We also have a tradition where we climb up Essie magma mountains and Hannah watch lava spit out of our volcano every 2 years.

  11. Flos Lagastrobos Our country is Flos Lagastrobos, named after the edible plant that a girl called Fern Tryllin discovered which saved the entire Felicity country from starvation. The forest Poppy in the North-West corner of the country is home to these plants and their guardians, the Kaysia birds.

  12. Mancala Hello this is our country Mancala. Our country name is based of when Will Harrison invented the game Mancala in 1868. Our country’s Nick native people our called the Murallo Luke people and our country has a goldmine for trading and the biggest desert called desert of death.

  13. Spitfire island This country is called spit-fire island, it's very hot. The reason why it's called spit-fire ISLAND is because it used to be an island, then it merged Ruben with Toutoro. Spit-fire Island is also known for Dylan it' plant, the spit-fire plant.

  14. Nigel island Our island is named Nigel but Nigel island to be exact, what makes our island special is that ours is the only Tom lonely island. Our island is also Lilli named after Nigel who is our leader, We also have rainbow dinosaur nuggets!

  15. Toutoro Our term 2 class project was heaps of fun and we all enjoyed it. Thank you on behalf of our class.
