The Connecticut Family Support Network exists to assist families raising children with disabilities and special heathcare needs.
The Network exists across Connecticut serving 6 regions. The CTFSN is the family support organization for the CT Medical Home Initiative providing support to families and professionals. We have 10 staff that do specialty coordination related to; ◦ Early Dental Care ◦ Medical Home ◦ Transition ◦ Autism Spectrum Disorder ◦ Deaf/Hard of Hearing
CTFSN – A Central Point of Advocacy Families Community Legislative Based Branch Programs CTFSN Private Executive Branch Agencies State Schools Agencies Health Professionals /Medical Homes
21 support groups held across the state each month. Annual Trainings include but not limited to; ◦ Toilet Training ◦ One Voice Conference ◦ Summer Camps/Recreational Programs Training Support Groups include but not limited to; ◦ Caring for the Caregiver ◦ Spanish Speaking ◦ Dad’s Night Out ◦ Autism Specific Groups ◦ Apraxia Support Group ◦ Open Play/Support
