Modelled Writing is a strategy for teaching a range of forms, conventions and procedures of writing It involves the writer ‘thinking aloud’ as s/he writes for an audience

• Children plan and write their own narrative text. • They may consult a partner or the group and/or the teacher at the planning stage. • They write a first draft (framework) and proof read and check it with partner. • Final draft is written for an audience.
