Cognitive Dissonance • You have been conditioned by family friends and society. • The way you speak, dress, write, good and bad habits and the way we share & show emotions & what & who we surround ourselves with. • Those things run in the background (your subconscious) on autopilot like a computer processing info without you seeing it. • You have conscious thoughts of not wanting to do this habit, thought, or emotion and subconsciously still behaving and doing the things that make you feel in conflict or distressed. • That’s cognitive dissonance. www.tuesdayrobbins.com

  6. What you want and what are you willing to do? Do you want to stay comfortable In your false self-made reality or do you want to get uncomfortable so you can have the life you dream of having. No matter what it is. Happiness, meaning, tons of money, family, better relationships, marriage, friendships…. Whatever it is. You will have to get uncomfortable if you want to have a breakthrough moment. Write my motto down. GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK • The conditioning and beliefs have taken a lifetime to create. • Do NOT expect a quick fix over night, a week or even 30 days. 30 days is just the beginning of your life transformation. Not you whole transformation. • The anxiety, fear, depression, bad habits/addictions are the things we are going to change or shift. • In order to do this you have to change your experiences, beliefs and emotions surrounding those events and proceeding events in order to create and make a lasting SHIFT. • During this program I will get you asking yourself questions in maybe ways you haven't asked before.   8. JOURNAL IT DOWN • Why are you feeling like it’s so difficult to make a shift? • Why do you lead with anger, frustration, annoyance, (insert emotion) • Why do you have this bad habit? Food, TV, smoking, drinking, sugar consumption, (insert your bad habits you want to shift) • Why do you have limiting beliefs or beliefs that hold you back from seeing and becoming the person you want to? www.tuesdayrobbins.com

  10. Beliefs should not be solid Your why’s most likely won’t be like mine but keep writing and it will help bring you more clarity. The more you write the more you get to the root. This IS NOT meant to place blame, it’s the opposite. Everything you’re experiencing now is a result of your own unwillingness to deal with the result of your childhood beliefs and experiences. Beliefs should not be solid. They should be liquid, and they should grow with us as we experience new things and gain new perspectives. www.tuesdayrobbins.com

  11. Be the philosopher of your life Marcus Aurelius: Great Philosopher. • I want you to start thinking why for these things. Become the philosopher of your life. • Don’t do anything with this list of reason’s or why’s right now. You will expand on this later.

  12. Why the Shift Method? Now I want you to write a second list. Answer this with as many reasons as possible. Why do you want to do this 30-day experience The Shift Method? Examples: I’m tired of feeling stuck, I want to break the cycle of negative self-talk, and bad habits. I want to quit being lazy, I want to find passion and purpose again. I want to be happy. Write down any and all reasons that you can think of for why you want to do participate in The Shift Method. www.tuesdayrobbins.com

  13. TASK ♥ Do your two lists conflict? Of course they do. In one you have all these things you don’t want to feel or get rid of and in the second list you have things you DO want to feel and bring in. ♥ This is the battle you’re having with yourself. The Cognitive dissonance. The angle and the devil. ♥ You want to change but these things that have formed you have a hold on you like a leech. ♥ What's going to happen over the coming weeks is your first list of reasons are going to shift if you put in the work. They will have less control over you so the new habits and beliefs you want can come to light. ♥ Start writing your lists and I’ll see you in DAY 2. www.tuesdayrobbins.com
