UPDATING PERSONAL DETAILS ON EPORTFOLIO • You can update your phone numbers and addresses via the RCPCH website SAMPLE TITLE • Contact our membership department to change your name and this should automatically update on ePortfolio. • If your NTN/GMC/RCPCH is incorrect contact ePortfolio team. These cannot be updated by your deanery. • To update your email address contact ePortfolio or your deanery. • Change details on ASSET including supervisor via the Settings tab.

  4. ENSURE POST AND SUPERVISOR DETAILS ARE UP TO DATE SAMPLE TITLE

KNOW WHAT EVIDENCE YOU NEED TO PROVIDE AT ARCP • This can vary from deanery to deanery and changes with level: SAMPLE TITLE • WBAs including ePaedMSF • Curriculum entries • PDPs/Development log sections • Exams • Supervision forms/trainer’s reports – supervision forms and reports are created by your supervisor. The link expires 3 months after the post.

  7. PDP • Set out what you expect to achieve during each post and throughout the programme at your SAMPLE TITLE induction meeting • It should be developed in conjunction with your supervisor and be updated following supervision meetings • Complete during the 6/12 months of the post

  9. DEVELOPMENT LOG Show how key events have contributed to your development throughout your training SAMPLE TITLE

  13. LINKING TO THE CURRICULUM • Update the curriculum regularly SAMPLE TITLE • You can link log entries, supervision forms, personal library files to each other and to the curriculum • Read the RCPCH guidance on the curriculum and discuss concerns with your supervisors

PERSONAL LIBRARY • Upload files which you can link to other sections of ePortfolio including the curriculum SAMPLE TITLE • Find a system of ordering the folders which suits you before you start uploading files – Your LETB may have a specific system they want you to use so please check. • 200Mb limit for 8 years of training - only upload the essentials (Not meant for linking to WBA’s)

WORK-BASED ASSESSMENTS & ASSET • Know your log-in details and familiarise yourself with the system-lots of guidance on the website • Be aware of which, and how many, WBAs are required SAMPLE TITLE at the start of each year – changes at each level • Start doing WBAs as early as possible- 1 every 2 weeks • Be aware of the windows for multi-source feedback (MSF) • WBAs pull through to ePortfolio at 12am each morning

  16. WORK-BASED ASSESSMENTS • Now known as either formative Supervised Learning Events (SLE’s) or summative Assessments of Performance ( AoP’s ) • Emphasis on feedback, reflection and development SAMPLE TITLE * Must include a safeguarding CbD Trainees also required to complete 1 x MSF per year

WBAS: TROUBLESHOOTING • www.rcpch.ac.uk/assess-exams SAMPLE TITLE • If WBAs do not pull through to ePortfolio the next day email asset@rcpch.ac.uk or call 0207 092 6000 and ask for the Asset team • You require a minimum of 7 responses and a self assessment for an MSF to be valid • If you can’t find your supervisor on Asset, contact the ASSET team

  18. MRCPCH EXAMS • You will need to pass the full MRCPCH to SAMPLE TITLE progress from Level 1 to 2 (ST3 to ST4) • Need to pass 4 parts (FOP, TAS, AKP, Clinical) • You can only take each part of the exam 6 times. • Your exam results are pulled through from the RCPCH database.

  20. Why? • One system – Fry IT’s ePortfolio will merge both ePortfolio and ASSET functionality • Modernisation of software – Allowing for future development and mobile responsiveness • In house administration allowing flexibility to improve processes

  23. When? • Go live is planned for December 2015 and January 2016 with 2 deaneries/LETBs going live first in December and everyone else following • There will be a period of downtime where ePortfolio will be Read-Only for 4-5 weeks • Training will be made available via our LMS Compass
