Organizing the Paralym Art World Cup We are planning to host the “ Paralym Art World Cup”, as an event that symbolizes the globalization of Paralym Art. Our 1 st goal is 2020, when the whole world looks to Japan. Our final goal is to create an ongoing initiative that would go beyond 2020. The global population of disabled people is estimated to be *1 billion, or 15% of the global population, with the ratio of disabled people being higher outside of Japan. Moreover, the less developed a country is, the higher the ratio of disabled people, with official assistance becoming harder to reach. As the interest towards social inclusion is increasing, we will work to invigorate Paralym Art along this social tide towards 2020: an Olympic year for Japan. Our aim is to make 2020 into a milestone year for Paralym Art within Japan and around the world. We will continue to work globally in the long term as well, and aim towards future Olympic years: Paris in 2024 and L.A. in 2028. 2028 2024 11 th Event 7 th Event 2020 ( The United States ?) 3 rd Event ( France ?) 2019 2 nd Event 2018 1 st Event Hosted within Japan Hosting worldwide after 2020 We will cultivate our Japanese initiative into a global movement, and expand the activities for the Paralym artists of Japan and around the world. *2011: WHO, World Bank 13
