2 WELCOME We are happy to announce the first ever CMC Finland Cup Open International for Hair, Nail Art Championships in Helsinki, October 2019. The competition is directed by the esteemed organization CMC Confederation Mondiale Coiffure, which has been working with the World Hair Championships in Europe for over 80 years. The President of the CMC is Mr. Antonio Budget and the vice president Mr. Vazha Mhitaryan. We now invite talented individual stylists and teams from Europe, Russia, the Baltic and CIS countries to enter the International Finland Cup Championship and to demonstrate their skills. Registration is now open to all country organizations and individuals on an individual basis. The Championship Competition is organized and directed by the non-commercial Finnish Assossiation Hius - ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö regditsered and operating in Finland. The association´s president Mrs Alina Pikarevska and the vice president Mrs. Svetlana Kiljunen are both winners of several CMC Championships as well as creators of the Callisto Production Finland brand. The CMC Finland Cup offers an excellent opportunity for all qualified stylists, professional hair and nail organizations and teams working in the beauty industry to demonstrate their creativity, skills and talent and to represent their countries and companies as well as to advance their professional prestige, find new interesting contacts and market their own achievements. Finland boasts one of the world´s best social welfare systems. It has a thriving economy and is well-known for its successful educational system and advanced programs in technology and medicine. Finland scores highly on the World Environmental Performance Index and is also renowned for having hosted many top security international meetings. Jury: The official committee of Wise Men includes the presidents and vice presidents of CMC, World and Europe Champions of CMC from different countries. Judges assess competitors in the form of open judging. All competitors have equal rights and chances to win. The CMC Finland Cup is an official event to promote the hairdressing and beauty industry, to define new trends and directions in the industry and to advance participants´ professional skills. Event organizers will do their best to make the competition inspiring and attractive for all competitors, teams, organizations and the audience.
4 GENERAL REGULATIONS • Rules and regulations for the members of Local and International Hairdressing Championships in Finland are organized and conducted by the Hius - ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association. • The competition is held at the “I love me” fairs, at Messukeskus convention center in the period from 18th of October till 20th of October 2019, Helsinki, Finland. • Registration is now open to all country organizations and on an individual basis. • Competitors may enter two categories – Ladies- Senior and Junior Contest and Gentlemen Hairstyle in Junior and Senior Contest. • Competitors in Junior Tests must be a minimum of 18 years old and have less than 2 years ʼ work experience in hairdressing. In addition, competitors in Junior Tests have to present a professional diploma or a certified document to confirm their education. • Competitors in Senior Tests must have more than 2 year ʼ s work experience. • The jury of the International Hairdressing Championship Finland is appointed by the Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association. All members of the jury are official representatives of the International CMC Organization, esteemed professional stylists and also nominees of International Hairdressing Clubs and Championships. During judging, the jury must be able to see the complete hairstyle, general impression of the work, color and cut. The judging is held in an open voting mode. The final decision of the jury is not subject to appeal. • Penalties: Infringements of competition rules and non-observation of instructions concerning the competitions will be penalized by the Committee of Wise Men according to the penalty point chart in force. The competitors will be informed of their penalty points, the maximum penalty points being 3 points for each mistake and for not observing the competition instructions.
5 REGISTRATION RULES AND CONDITIONS • Registration : The registration file must be filled correctly and include the names of the competitors and the addresses of the organizations/individuals and email addresses. The Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association will check all registrations. If registrations are correct, the members will receive an invoice. • All participants must fill in the registration form and give permission to use photos and video materials of the competition process, works and models. Participants must also sign the confirmation on the authority of the material. • Upon registration, it is mandatory for all competitors – organizations, individuals and models to sign a release and they are solely responsible as competitors to send the Competitor and Model Release. The Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association and the host country shall not be liable for any damage resulting from non-submitting of the Competitor and Model Release. • Participation fee : 100 Euro plus VAT (24%) for each category of participation. It is possible to receive a discount, if the competitor competes in more than one category. After the registration is accepted, competitors will receive an invoice by email. • Payments: all payments are to be completed by bank transfer to the account of the Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association. The competitors are responsible for all bank fees and taxes related to the payment and they are to ensure that the Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association receives the precise amount mentioned on the registration form. If this is not the case, participation in the competition will be refused. • Competitors shall provide at their own expense all their own items and materials connected to the competition process (including materials, tools, models, flight tickets, accommodation and food). • Disclaimer : The Hius- ja Kauneudenhoitajien Maailmanjärjestö Finland Association reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any competition deemed necessary at its sole and exclusive discretion. CMC reserves the right to cancel any competition, if the number of competitors is less than 3 persons. The member organizations that have registered competitors will be informed of the decision after the official registration is completed. The registration fees of the cancelled tests will be refunded. • In case an individual competitor(s) are found to have acted against these rules, either during or after the event, the competitor(s) concerned will be disqualified and the champion title will be withdrawn. The competitor shall give back all the award(s) given. In addition, a sanction will be attributed to the competitor.
