INTPART “International Partnerships in Excellent Education, Research and Innovation” INTPART programme objectives: Develop world-class research and education in Norway – through international ▪ partnerships. Expand cooperation between research groups considered to be at the ▪ international forefront or with the potential to become world leaders in their fields. Enable long-term institutional partnerships with strong academic groups in ▪ Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, China, Russia, South Africa and the USA. Align with the strategic plans of the applicant institution, and include academic ▪ partners, strategic leadership and administration. Strengthen integration of higher education- and research activities. ▪ Educational cooperation to be integrated in the institution’s educational ▪ programs, and must extend beyond collaboration between individual researchers Facilitate cooperation with the business and public sectors, when relevant. ▪ 2

INTPART Target groups – who can apply? Norwegian research institutions that are host or formal partner and are ▪ receiving active funding under: “Programs and funding instruments for research activities, as defined in the call text - such as for example Centres of Excellence, Centres of Innovation etc. and other EU, Nordic and RCN funding for excellent research. “ Maximum number of grant applications per institution ▪ Applicants must have relevant educational programmes at the master ▪ and/or doctoral levels, or have a Norwegian partner institution with such programmes. The INTPART project manager must be a formal partner or have a key ▪ role in the qualifying current research project or center The INTPART project must have thematic relevance for the project ▪ currently being funded, i.e. the thematic content of the centre, cluster or research project. 4
INTPART Activities eligible for funding mobility stays by students, researchers, managers and ▪ administrative staff workshops, seminars and conferences; ▪ intensive courses, field courses, summer schools, etc. ▪ cooperation on curriculum development, joint courses, educational ▪ programmes and/or degree programmes; joint teaching and supervision ▪ other activities that encompass international research and ▪ educational cooperation, and cooperation with private and public enterprises . salary and indirect costs for administrative task - may be covered. ▪ See call text for limitations. 5
