Liability Plan Overview • The International Association purchases a program of General Liability Insurance covering Lions worldwide. • Coverage is provided by ACE American Insurance. • Provisions of policy apply to many liability exposures of Lions Clubs and Districts. • Legal liability policy only. Does not provide “accident” insurance to pay for injuries regardless of fault. • Program protects Lions International & LCIF. Ensures that all clubs have some coverage for their liability exposures.
Liability Plan Overview • Plan Costs Are Paid By Lions International • $1,000,000 Per Claim Deductible • Losses Directly Impact Cost Of Plan • Costs Of Plan Included In International Dues • Coverage is Automatic so no action is required on the part of the clubs

Who Is Protected? Named Insured Includes: • Lions International & LCIF • All Clubs, Districts and Multiple Districts • Other Lions organizations owned, controlled, or operated by a Named Insured Majority of board must be Lions Must be “licensed” to use Lions name and emblem
Who Is Protected? Additional Insured Includes: • Lion directors, officers, employees and members • Individual volunteer workers • Persons or organizations granting use of their premises • Public bodies issuing permits to Lions
What Is Covered? • Policy Pays Sums Club Or Member Legally Obligated To Pay • Claim Must Be Result Of Bodily Injury Or Property Damage Covered By Policy • ACE Insurance Has The Right And Duty To Defend Any Suit For Covered Claims • Policy Insures Liabilities Not Injuries • Not An Accident Policy - Club Must Be Legally Liable • $5,000 Medical Payments Coverage
