The IAAP Scholarship Program 2/31 Objectives ◼ To recognize the outstanding academic achievements of students of Iranian descent attending universities in the DC area and the Eastern United States and their excellent service to the Iranian and Iranian-American Communities. ◼ To attract the financial support of the large Iranian community in the DC area for high-achieving Iranian students in the US.
The IAAP Scholarship Program, cont’d. 3/31 Three categories of scholarship ◼ The Dr. Reza Scholarship, which includes an IAAP certificate of outstanding achievements and a monetary award of $1000. ◼ The Avicenna (Ibn Sina) Scholarship, which includes an IAAP certificate of outstanding achievements and a monetary award of $1000. ◼ Other scholarships include an IAAP certificate of outstanding achievements and a monetary award of $500.
The IAAP Scholarship Program, cont’d. 4/31 Eligibility requirements ◼ Only students of Iranian descent who were enrolled full-time on the application deadline at learning institutions within the following US states were eligible to apply: ◼ New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Connecticut, North Carolina and South Carolina and Washington, DC. ◼ Following applications were not be considered: ◼ Postdoctoral Associates, MD fellows or MD residents, ◼ From geographical regions outside the states above, ◼ Previous recipients of IAAP scholarships in the same degree program, ◼ Part-time students.
