Permanent Sites established in 2006 -Began in Oct. 2006 with 29 sites -12 in Lawrence; 17 in Scioto -29 containers (8 c.y.) -Tonnage for Oct. 2006 – 11.5 tons
Currently there are 34 sites in the District - 14 in Lawrence County - 20 in Scioto County - 83 containers (8 c.y.) - 155.87 tons of recyclables in July
• ORC (Ohio Revised Code) 3734.03 • No person shall recklessly dispose of solid wastes (including scrap tires and/or infectious wastes) by open dumping. • Penalty, unclassified FELONY • Fine of at least $10,000.00 but not more than $25,000.00 and at least 2 years but not more than 4 years, or both
• ORC (Ohio Revised Code) 3767.32(B) • No person, without privilege to do so, shall knowingly deposit litter or cause litter to be deposited in a litter receptacle on public / private property not owned by him. • Penalty, 3 rd Degree Misdemeanor • Fine of maximum $500.00 and / or 60 days in jail.
