The public sector in Wales is legally bound to provide services in both Welsh and English and many private companies do so because it’s good for business. This means that Welsh speakers are in demand. Having a Welsh GCSE qualification will open so many doors and will make you stand out from the crowd when applying for University places or jobs in Wales, in the UK and around the World! By learning a language you develop so many skills such as social skills, the ability to work in a team, communication skills, problem-solving skills, confidence and open mindedness.
