  12. British RC appeal - £80k so far Lessons from 2011 in East Africa – act early! Media interest – too late! British RC action – support to Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso So far £125,000 in cash and several delegates

  13. Syria The BRC has so far contributed over £900,000 to emergency operations in • Syria since May 2011, which includes £300,000 provided by DFID – to Federation and SARC. BRC launched our Syria appeal on 1 st March 2012. • To date, it has raised £695,000 (of which £105,000 has been pledged). BRC has seconded a delegate to the Federation in Syria to assist • with strategy, operations management and contingency planning. In total, the BRC has contributed the following goods in kind to SARC: • 5,760 blankets 1,600 kitchen sets, 1,800 hygiene kits, 3,000 food parcels, 150 volunteer overalls, and 8 ambulances.
