Cool Facts It has a defense system. That defense system is that it releases a foul smell like a skunk. After mating season the female finds a safe spot and lays 3 to 20 eggs per day and they all hatch 47 days later. It's coloration matches the western coral snake. So some people think that there the same. These snakes eat lizards, rodents and even eggs! The do not eat their eggs they eat other eggs.
