Overall Tips and Information … • If this is your initial license, you will need a fingerprint card, and your fee will be $90.25 (“PELSB”) • If you are adding a field to your existing license, your fee will be $57 (“PELSB”) • Do NOT use your CSP email … please note that once the system is on-line, you will only be able to use a Gmail account so it may make sense to use one now • I will order an official CSP transcript for you • It is not “quicker” to get a substitute license … • You may download the Application and complete your portions whenever you want, but I cannot send in your packet until your degree has been awarded. 6
7
Timing of Your License Being Issued … • CSP processing … 3-4 days • By statute, PELSB is required to issue your license within 30 calendar days after BCA background check is completed … • PELSB no longer offers “expedited” processing • You will be notified by email … • License Lookup to check status 8

If your job offer is with a private school, Tier 2 is NOT available. Tier 2 is available only to public schools (including public charter schools)! If you have a job offer from a private school, you must pass your required tests and apply under Tier 3! 17
