Overall Tips and Information … • If this is your initial license, you will need a fingerprint card, and your fee will be $90.25 (“PELSB”) • If you are adding a field to your existing license, your fee will be $57 (“PELSB”) – this includes your having a substitute license • Do NOT use your CSP email on your application • I will order an official CSP transcript for you (including prior transcripts for MAT students) • It is not “quicker” to get a substitute license … 6

With respect to Tier 2 … … it’s designed to get teachers licensed even if they haven’t passed their required content/pedagogy tests. However, you MUST have a job offer. NOTE: If your job offer is with a private school, Tier 2 is NOT available. Tier 2 is available only to public schools (including public charter schools)! If you have a job offer from a private school, you must pass your required tests and apply under Tier 3! 35
In sum … What I will need from you … • If this is your initial license, your completed finger print card, check for $90.25 (“PELSB”), and the entire Application • If you are adding a field to an existing teaching license, your check for $57 (“PELSB”) and the entire Application 36

You will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office when your degree has been awarded • You can also check your degree audit – “Degree awarded” • Your degree award date will be “May 9, 2019” 37
Timing of Your License Being Issued … • After your degree has been awarded and I receiver your Application: CSP processing … 3-4 days • By statute, PELSB is required to issue your license within 30 calendar days after your BCA background check is completed … • PELSB no longer offers “expedited” processing • You will be notified by the email on your Application • License Lookup to check status 38
